- Partner at DT, with extensive experience in civil litigation and class action proceedings, particularly in the areas of consumer protection and banking law under both Polish and EU law. Her practice focuses on disputes concerning unfair contractual terms, unfair selling (mis-selling) of financial products (including investment funds), financial pyramid schemes, The Free Loan Sanction as well as matters related to the recovery and resolution of credit institutions.
- She represents consumer ombudsmen and individual participants in the largest class action proceedings in Poland, including disputes arising from mass consumer claims against financial institutions.
- She also has experience advising former insurance agents in disputes with insurance companies, as well as representing clients in proceedings before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and the Financial Ombudsman. In addition, she advises groups of investors in complex disputes against public authorities arising out of large-scale irregularities in the financial market.
- In the context of protecting consumers’ right of access to a court and to a fair trial, she has also acts as legal counsel in more than 140 proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights.
- She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw and completed postgraduate studies in Consumer Protection at the Warsaw School of Economics.
